What this shows in QSME
QSME reads a consent pack into its real sections and says what it did not find. You price the build as a schedule of quantities, AI drafts stay marked until a person checks them, and a pocket of work becomes a tender where every bidder prices the same lines without seeing your rates or budget.

From the full-length cut, as spoken.
Forty-eight pages of consent drawings. Not one of them is drainage. Found before the tender... not in a trench.
Price it once. Here's how.
Christchurch owner-builder. Consent pack thick enough to prop a door open. And her brother-in-law's spreadsheet. From two years ago. Neither one mentions drainage.
Step one. Read the pack. QSME splits it into its real sections. Floor plans, bracing, foundations, schedules. It reads what the drawings say, it doesn't measure them. And it takes a few minutes, so this bit's sped up. Tables come out as tables. And it says what it didn't find. Heads up: no drainage in this pack. Found before anyone priced it. So she asks the designer.
Days later, the drainage sheets turn up. Their own PDF. Read in. Drainage, found.
Step two. Price it. A pocket per trade. Plumbing and drainage. It starts as a Draft. She makes it Active. A quantity, a rate, and the line, the job, the pocket and the Grand total tick up together. Her own columns too. Waste percent, then a formula. And the brother-in-law's spreadsheet? Import it. In it comes as drafts. Twenty twenty-four rates, mind.
Step three. Fill the gaps. Draft with AI adds the pockets she hasn't got, as AI drafts. Keep one. Bin the other. Then Estimate with AI prices only the empty lines. Indicative, not quotes. Every AI number stays marked until a person edits it. She swaps one for her supplier's figure, and its mark goes. The other two stay marked. She still has to check them.
Step four. Make it a tender. Private, so only who she invites. Select the whole pocket: its jobs and lines are the scope. Three of three. Point them at the drainage pages. The ones that exist now. Thirty, thirty, forty, with five percent retention. Then invite the trades she picks. Step five. What the drainlayer sees.
The same lines, for every bidder. They can itemise, or quote one total. Her rates and her budget are stripped before they see it. Comparing the totals on the same GST basis? That video's linked here.

Dramatised: names, jobs and businesses are fictional, and on-screen data is illustrative.
